Chocolate Banana Cupcakes (Gluten-free, Corn-free, Dairy-free)

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt1 1/3 cup mashed ripe bananas
1/3 cup oil
1 egg
1 cup (6 ounces) chocolate chips (optional)
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups 3/4 full.
Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until muffins test done.
